Hi, I’m Jo - lover of lemons, silent discos and creativity. I’m also a qualified life coach, specialising in coaching with collage.
The hill I would die on is that women in midlife are a force to be reckoned with.
We have been conditioned to expect a slow, quiet slide into old age once we turn 50. Nothing is further from the truth.
This is OUR time. We’ve done everything for everyone else for decades and now it’s our turn to take the starring role in our own story. We’re allowed to want more for ourselves.
Sometimes it’s hard to know where to start and that’s where I come in. I won’t tell you who you should be or what you should do next. I’ll give you the space, tools and encouragement to work out what you actually want — and then help you do something about it.
I know what it’s like to want more but not know how to make it happen. I’ve felt the chaos, overwhelm and upheaval that can come with midlife. I’ve also found the joy in finally stepping into myself and living my life in the way that feels right.
It’s the plot twist I was NOT expecting!

The process of creating my collage was, no exaggeration, transformational. I woke up to how tethered I had been to expectations in my early life around what a ‘successful career’ looked like. The collaging experience reaffirmed my belief that success and ambition are deeply personal. My ambition to live a quiet, creative, calm life was entirely valid. It was like the sun coming out on a grey day,
I connected to younger me who felt unconfident and inadequate in her choices. The image of the girl behind the ladder, and the girl with her hair over her face struck a deep chord. I felt love and compassion for that girl and could reassure her that everything she longed for had come to fruition.
The woman in the centre of the collage is me now, striding confidently with clarity, energy and purpose, even when she’s afraid.
This was the catalyst that led to the creation of The Midlife Twist Method™ for 50+ women who want more for themselves.

I’m a 53 year old who loves:
Lemons, silent discos, jumping into cold water, reading, weirdness.
Collage, painting pebbles, zombie films, post-apocalyptic everything, Nutella.
Getting the giggles, my tweezers, coffee, falling asleep, travelling.
Being with my family and friends, being on my own, swearing.
Bright colours, flowers, beaches, trees, the smell of petrol and The Body Shop White Musk.
